Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Overview
Reader Two is a translation and language learning tool that helps users analyze, translate, and understand texts in different languages. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
Token Usage
This application uses a token-based system for API actions. Each user is allocated 100 tokens by default. API-based actions such as translation, grammar analysis, and OCR consume tokens with each use. If you require additional tokens, please contact the administrator at kleczek.r@gmail.com.
Data Storage
Important: All project data is stored in our database. Users should never share any private, confidential, or sensitive information through this platform. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted or stored within the application.
Administrator Access
The application administrator has access to:
- User API usage statistics
- Remaining token counts
- Email addresses associated with accounts
While the administrator does not routinely access prompt content, they may monitor user activity for suspicious behavior, which can result in temporary account suspension. Additionally, the administrator may contact users via their registered email addresses regarding token usage and other account-related information.
Email Communication
By using this application, you consent to receiving occasional emails regarding your account, such as notifications about token usage. If you prefer not to receive such communications, please register with an alternative email address.
Cookies and Local Storage
Reader Two uses cookies and local storage to enhance user experience, such as remembering login sessions and user preferences. By using our service, you consent to the use of these technologies.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google OAuth for authentication
- OpenAI APIs for AI language processing
- Claude APIs for AI language processing
- Google Translate API for translation services
Each of these services has its own privacy policy, and your use of them through our application is subject to those policies.
Analytics
Pages use the Google Analytics tag to measure visits and use of the site. Google may process device, browser, network and page-visit information and use cookies under its own privacy policy. Reading-position preferences are also stored on your device. Do not put sensitive information in page URLs.
Digital editions and submitted credentials
Reference translations attached to an edition are stored privately and used as interpretation context. Model providers process the aligned reference text alongside other processing inputs. Only their citation metadata is published; private reference text is excluded from public edition data, forks, Cover plates and exports. Preface drafts and edit history are retained privately until an approved preface is included in a published version.
Edition drafts retain the raw source, cleaning history, text, generated interpretations and review results. Submissions are reviewed by an administrator before publication. Published editions make the approved text, translation, analyses, source and licence credits publicly readable. Your credited name, affiliation and optional link are displayed only with your explicit submission consent. Personal reader notes remain private to your account.
Published editions can be copied into other readers’ projects with their attribution and licence. Unpublishing stops access through the edition’s public routes but cannot recall previously downloaded exports or independent copies. Use an edition’s report / removal route, or contact the administrator below, to request a correction or takedown.
Data Retention
We retain user data and project information for as long as the user maintains an active account. Users may request deletion of their data by contacting the administrator.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
